Some stick to a Sunday roast come rain or shine. Some think sipping a cold G&T whilst pouring gravy over your roasties is a little odd. Whatever takes your fancy on a Summer Sunday, we’re here to help.

If a Sunday roast dinner is always your thing, we’ve got a welcome surprise for you. In the words of a popular super market chain, our roasts are not just any roasts. Your choice of top quality lamb, beef or pork from Aubrey Allen, will have a lot to keep it company. Crisp and golden roast potatoes are joined by a well-risen Yorkshire pud, roast carrots, parsnips and tureens or buttered green veg. If like us you choose to bathe yours in gravy – we have unlimited supplies. In fact, eat your fill. We’ll be round to tempt you with extra roasties and Yorkies. The perfect way to fill the hollow legs of an ever-hungry teenager.

If you’re after a more alternative Sunday lunch, or prefer something a little more suited to dining on the deck in the summer sun, our Sunday Best Menu has plenty on offer. Superfood salad, pan-fried mackerel or flat-iron chicken are perfect if you feel like something lighter. And to follow? You must give our Flat White Coffee ice cream a try, a cool caffeine hit.

The pub really gets the chance to shine in the summer. The bog at the bottom of the garden disappears, and is replaced with our ever-popular tipi, and bright white benches perfect for mingling with your buddies and whiling away the afternoon. And when it’s finally time to go, all you have to do is wave to your waitress and leave us with the washing-up.
