The Tipi of Tennis
Our rather wonderful tipi is going to be sporting a new look on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July when it’s transformed into the Tipi of Tennis! We’ll be celebrating the best of British by hosting a special Wimbledon Final Garden Party, showing the men’s and women’s finals matches live in the tipi and tennis games set up for the kids (big and little!) in the garden.
If you’re a budding Andy Murray, why not come along from 12 noon on either day (no need to buy a ticket, simply turn up) and put your skills to the test on the serve machine to measure the speed of your killer serve. Coaches from the Oxford Sports Lawn Tennis Club will also be on hand sharing their tennis tips to help you make it game, set and match.
The chefs will be firing up the barbecue so after working up an appetite watching or playing, it will be time to tuck into a succulent steak or home-made burger, cooked just as you like it. Why not treat yourself to some classic accompaniments like corn on the cob, potato salad and crunchy coleslaw, to go with it? There’ll also be unlimited strawberries served during the matches, along with all the excitement of the tennis.
It’s going to be ace!
