Yes, there is a sign at the end of the road saying 'the road is shut', don't worry, there is still access to the pub. Have a safe journey, Katie

About Our Pub
Only a couple of minutes from either the Botley Road or the southbound A34, The Fishes is a hidden gem. Quite a big gem too. The Fishes is an imposing Victorian building set in 3 acres of wooded grounds leading down to the banks of Seacourt Stream. On sunny days the gardens are dotted with picnickers, enjoying a picnic basket ordered from the bar, whilst the deck that wraps around the conservatory offers one of the few opportunities in land-locked Oxford to dine outside with an idyllic view. In recognition of this, the Fishes was named Al Fresco Dining Pub of the Year in 2006, as well as winning an award for its Sunday roast. The Fishes also appears in the Michelin Guide 2008.

The Fishes is open every day from 11 a.m. with lunch served from noon & hot food available all day. We take huge pride in serving the best ingredients we can find, from ethical producers, freshly prepared by our team of chefs. Corin Earland has been head chef for three and a half years & he and his team focus on the best of British ingredients to produce a wide choice of dishes & an especially good choice of fresh fish. In the last six months Corin has been pioneering the Scottish Skippers' Scheme, working direct with Scottish trawlermen to provide maximum traceability and the freshest of fish.

Whether you pop in for a pint, or a business lunch, or want to throw a barbecue for your friends in our garden we promise you a friendly welcome. All day long.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Katie, Corin & the Fishes team
